There’s no debate about whether Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are great games. They’re exceptional, with the sequel polishing on an already absolute thrill of an experience. But the fact is, the sequel adds a ton more new features and makes quality-of-life changes that can’t be ignored. The PS5 makes it so your playthrough is as seamless and glitch-free as possible. S8 ’s-eye assessment reveals Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) to have a more story-focused gameplay narrative compared to the sequel. It incorporates unexpected twists and turns that take you by surprise and really invest your attention and emotion in the narrative.

Animated Suit – Miles

This time the superheroes must face two primary villains – Kraven the Hunter and Venom. Of course, a hero is nothing without its villains, and Spider-Man’s rogues gallery is almost unparalleled. Outside of the likes of Venom, Kraven, and Lizard seen in the trailers, Insomniac has kept many more cards hidden up its sleeve. I won’t even hint at any of these except to say that Spider-Man 2 opens with a bang, offering up a sense of scale not previously seen in the series. It’s an adrenaline-fuelled reintroduction to the series that tests how well you remember the combat, as well as providing a few new tricks. It’s also the start of one of the new side-story villain threads that are optional, and while those don’t offer anything overly new in terms of gameplay, they do add valuable extra scraps of story.

A new update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has swung its way onto PC following another recent patch that attempted to fix performance and optimization issues. This new update tackles more performance issues and squashes a few bugs, hopefully making Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 a smoother experience for PC users. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases for PC via Steam and Epic on Thursday, 30th January – and as we recently learned, it won’t require a PSN account to play after all.

Working together, Peter, Miles, and Mary Jane destroy the symbiote nests throughout Marvel’s New York, including the meteorite that brought Venom to Earth in the first place. During his final battle with Spider-Man, Harry temporarily gains lucidity and urges his friend to destroy Venom, at the cost of his own health. Peter reluctantly complies with Harry’s wishes, destroying the symbiote, with Harry rendered comatose from the ordeal. The best approach is to finish the story first, then collect everything afterward.

This hulking, powerful beast has arrived in Marvel’s New York like a twisted natural disaster. The city has seen a lot over the years, but nothing quite like this.
